Connie is a big pleasant and sweet guy, but he's also very bitter particularly when it comes to the war.

The war took everything from him: his home, his precious mate, his very PLANET. He doesn't understand mentalities like Smokescreen's of YEA LETS KILL SOME CONS. (In fact Smokescreen drives him crazy most of the time, but he's never anything but nice to the kid)

If anything he'd prefer they all stop bickering like children and end the fighting, since they may very well be the last few Cybertronians in EXISTENCE, it's inconceivable to him they're still trying to kill each other.

This is also why he is very careful not to harm the cons he has to fight: he fears for their race in general. Starscream in particular, who might very well be the last Seeker. (yes I know they call Dreadwing a Seeker in the show, but they're using Seeker as the same word as flyer, and to me that's not the same thing. Flyer/flier = cybertronian with wings/flight capable cybertronian. Seeker = Starscream's frame type) His mate was a seeker, so he's pretty loathe to even see Starscream in battle. Reminds him too much of his partner who joined the Decepticons right after the war broke out. (Most flyers did after all)

(PS contrail's frame type is basically shuttle, similar to Skyfire. He's on a bigger scale than the others, though on earth he took the form of a bomber jet rather than a space shuttle)

Anyway, Connie tries really hard to look beyond the present to see the bigger picture. He sticks to the autobot philosophy of protecting all life, even Decepticons.
Makes him a bit of a pain in the aft on the battlefield, but hey, he's a groundbridge engineer not a warrior. Though he will kick con ass if you threaten his autobros. He'll just... do it in a way that won't permanently damage said con. *shrug* He'll just groundbridge them to Antarctica or something. (SWEAR TO PRIMUS that was his thing, groundbridging mechs to freezing climates BEFORE that was done to Predaking in beast hunters. Stealing his thing :I)

The only mech he would love to see dead is Megatron, who is the one who started the damn war and in Connie's mind, can end it.
He is just SO done with the whole thing, but keeps going because really, what else is he going to do? What else can he do, at this point?
